Walk in Love

I just love the Book of Joshua in the Bible.

Joshua is one of my favorite people. Caleb and Joshua have been such a faith builder and courage strengthener for me throughout my life. Their courage and their faith in God is amazing. Once I discovered Joshua I wanted to be just like him. I loved that he was a servant to Moses, that he just stayed in the background watching, listening, following, and obeying Moses. Joshua experienced the glory of the Lord because he was with Moses on the mountains.

My Bible reading has brought me to Joshua again, and it is like reading it for the first time. So many wonderful truths and instructions. I don't think I would see it with such fresh eyes if it wasn't for my Pastor Kenny Gatlin, the truth of the word he imparts to us on a weekly basis opens our eyes and ears to see things that I wouldn't have seen before. I just listened to a CD called "What God Wants In Your Life." this CD focused on our "Love Walk". Jesus commanded us to love one another. Pastor Kenny expounded on our love walk should grow to the point that when we see our sisters or brothers dealing with a sickness that won't go, or a circumstance with their children or family, whatever it could be that we take up the battle with them (we don't have to let them know that we are doing it), we give up a meal or two to pray for them, we look up scriptures and declare over their situation, this is practicing and growing our love walk.

Reading Joshua 1:13-15 (amp)
Remember what Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you saying, "The Lord your God is giving you (a place of) rest and will give you this land (east of the Jordan). Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle shall dwell in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan, but all your mighty men of valor shall pass on before your brethren armed and help them (possess the land). Until the Lord gives your brethren rest, as He has given you, and they also possess the land the Lord your God is giving them.

Here God is giving us an example of what our "love walk" should look and be like. When we pray or fast for others to receive healing, deliverance, to overcome the devil and every circumstance. We pray, we fast until our fellow believers "rest" in the promises of God. Not half way, but 100% possess everything God has for them.

Joshua 1:15....then you shall return to the land of your possessions and possess it, the land Moses the Lord's servant gave you on the sunrise side of the Jordan.

I love where it says, "on the sunrise side" that is what will happen when we walk in love with our fellow brothers and sisters, we will live (dwell) on the sunrise side of the promise.

A great man of God said, "You can't possess anything you don't have a revelation of."

We can do it! Let's do this! Love Walk - on the sunrise side!

The Narrow Way

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it." Matthew 7:13

Holy, Holiness:

The Bible declares that God is holy so we should be holy. Obeying His commands and statues, seeking His wisdom and His way of doing things instead of our own way.

Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's; it is holy to the Lord."

I know many will say that is Old Testament so it is not for us New Testament believers. God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8. So if the tithe was holy to the Lord then it is holy to Him today. But let's not go here. I want to focus on the Holiness of God Almighty.

Holy, Holiness, thinking on this scripture and thinking about "holy" I don't know about you but I know that I've taken it lightly. When being holy involves the "whole" of who I am. It involves not just my spirit, but my soul (my mind, my will, and my emotions). It involves my activities no matter how innocent I believe them to be, the question is does God? Holy includes being obedient to the things of God, spending time with Him listening to His word and obeying what I hear, prayer, praise and worship, spending time in His presence, getting His heart on my today.

Holy - the tithe is holy; the seed is holy. Seed - the beginning of anything, the planting.

God, everything about you is Holy. Anything that has to do with You is Holy. I must be Holy as you are Holy. I am holy because You Lord have made me holy. And now that You have made me holy I must keep myself holy. The meaning of I am not my own becomes so clear.  I must live this life according to Your standard, Your commands, Your precepts, Your statutes. You have placed me here on this earth at this time in history just for this reason to live holy, to live a separated life from the world around me. What a  privilege.

The challenge is saying "NO" to ourselves. Our wants, those reality shows that can suck us in. When we don't "feel" like it. Faith doesn't feel. Who said this life of faith was easy??? NO one! But the closer we get to the end of the end of days, the narrower the road will be, and we will need to guard our hearts and minds like never before. So some of the things we do may be things the Lord will say to give up to guard our hearts and minds. Walking in Faith is just that - walking! One step at a time. Listening for direction to the finish line!

To live this holy life means the road in this life gets narrow.
The more evil the world is becoming the more narrower the road.

We Win! If we keep ourselves in the Word, doing the Word, and loving God with all our hearts and mind and soul!
